Self-care does not have to mean buying products or finding an empty afternoon. During a busy week, small actions that fit your real life may be easier to keep up.
Choose a tiny reset
- Take a few slow breaths between tasks.
- Stretch gently if you have been sitting for a long time.
- Drink water and eat regular meals when you can.
- Put your phone away for a short period before bed.
- Message someone who makes you feel supported.
Make rest part of the plan
Choose one realistic stopping point for the day. A short to-do list with the most important task first may feel more manageable than a list that never ends. Rest is not a reward you must earn by finishing everything.
Reduce comparison
Social media shows selected moments rather than a whole day. If a feed consistently leaves you feeling worse, mute accounts, take a break or choose content that feels more useful.
Ask for support when you need it
Talking to a trusted friend, family member, counsellor or qualified professional can be important. If low mood, anxiety or exhaustion persists or affects daily life, consider professional support.
Pick one or two habits to try this week rather than changing everything at once. If a day goes differently than planned, begin again when you can.
